  1. Read and Discuss the SUMMARY and INTRODUCTION NOTES
  2. Choose the PLACE of OBSERVATION
  3. Obtain the LATITUDE and LONGITUDE
  4. Obtain details of LOCAL TIME and difference from GREENWICH MEAN TIME
  5. Choose the DATES of OBSERVATION
  6. Obtain the corresponding SUN ANGLE TABLES from the INTERNET
  7. Obtain from the Tables the TIMES of SUNRISE, and SUNSET
  8. Note the TIME when the SUN is at its MAXIMUM VERTICAL ANGLE
  9. Note the corresponding HORIZONTAL ANGLE when the SUN is at its MAXIMUM VERTICAL ANGLE
  10. If the MAXIMUM VERTICAL ANGLE is greater than 45 degrees,note the TIME in the MORNING and the TIME in the AFTERNOON when the Sun passes 45 degrees
  11. Note the corresponding HORIZONTAL ANGLES
  12. Choose OTHER TIMES and/or ANGLES and note useful CORRESPONDING INFORMATION
  13. Undertake PRACTICAL STUDIES MEASURING the ANGLE of the SUN at particular TIMES
  14. RECORD and STUDY the RESULTS
  15. COMPARE the RESULTS with the values PREDICTED from the TABLES
  16. COMPARE the RESULTS with RESULTS and PREDICTIONS for other DATES and PLACES
  17. Undertake ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES if sufficient time
  18. Make NOTES of any ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES
  19. RECORD CONCLUSIONS
  20. COMMUNICATE CONCLUSIONS
